The Story Of Us

Our Family…

“D” (Dad), Shivani (aka Samantha(Mom/Me)), Rocky (Chihuahua), Talia (Daughter), Julia (Daughter), Cooper (Olde English Bulldog)…

What sums up our family… unpredictable

What we love about ourselves… us

What we share… an amazing bond

What we don’t share… underwear…

Our Story… beginning with me…

Born in India, my family and I eventually migrated to the US.  That is where the next chapter of my life began…

First came “D”, the boyfriend

Then came “D” and Shivani, the engaged couple

 then came marriage…

next came fertility treatments…

 which failed

then our Chihuahua Rocky moved in

Shortly after Rocky, we had our first daughter, Talia

Six months after Talia was born, we were surprisingly pregnant again with daughter #2

She arrived in December during a frightful snowstorm. We named her Julia.

Although our family felt complete, the balance was a bit off… with two boys and 3 girls, it only seemed logical to add one more piece to our amazing crew… hence, the arrival of Cooper, our bulldog

Our lives are filled with love, laughter, fun, screaming, fighting, movie and popcorn nights, playing and simply being us…

This is my husband “D”… yep, I know… Super Handsome!

To my husband,

Hi Sam…wow! How times have changed since Bridgewater! Your stories make me laugh..your girls are beautiful! You have an awesome way of writing to the reader and making them feel your words…not too many people can do that!

As a mom of 4 (including 2 teenage boys..eeek!) and my 8 and 3 year old daughters, I understand how frustrating/rewarding days can be…your philosophy of taking each day and finding the best out of it is such a great lesson to teach your girls…they will grow up not only very loved, but also very happy and confident with in themselves…just a word of advice…like Bill Cosby once said, “Raising teenagers is like nailing jello to a tree”…So enjoy them while they are still young!!!

    Take care!

I hope you realize that you just made my night! Thank you so much! I miss those days! It is hard for me to believe your boys are already teenagers… Your family is beautiful as well! I still cannot believe how quickly time has gone by! I feel like we just left college :) I think it is definitely time for us to have a little reunion … instead of the Pitts though, I am thinking a house… including the kids! LOL

    Hi,
Your daughters are beautiful. I have a preemie that stayed in the hospital for three months. I have a special love for preemies. Your experience reminded me of my very own. My preemie baby is now seven and she is so awesome and beautiful. Thank you for sharing your experience.

Hi, I just wanted to say that my name is Talia. I was just googling my name, and i saw a picture of your Talia. She is beautiful. So is Julia. What pretty names. I’m 18 years old, and i think i’ve met one “tali” not Talia, in my life. It’s so nice to see that such a nice woman is raising two beautiful daughters. It makes me feel like the small amount of Talia’s out in the world, are fantastic, and have great parents:)

Thank you so much for all of your words. You are too sweet and I have to admit, your name is amazing! Talia was named after my cousin who is quite an incredible young lady! Now you know 2 Talia’s! My girls are my world and from the sounds of it, your parents are pretty amazing too. It is nice to hear someone your age think that of your parents. I hope that my girls will do the same!
