The question: To buy lunch or to bring lunch?  Fun School Lunches So Your Kids Will Eat!

School is in full swing and my girls are already tired of the lunches I pack.  After a recent school drop off, my daughter begged me to let her buy lunch.  Although she did have a lunch box filled with (what I consider) yummy food, I complied.  Upon leaving her classroom, I stopped by the school office to pay ($3.25) for her “first ever” school bought lunch.  While at the office, I asked what the lunch of the day was anyhow?  Turns out, it was bagel day. ((crickets))  Obviously, the students did not “just get a bagel” for lunch but I couldn’t believe it!  I had just paid $3.25 for a bagel lunch!  Although most of the school lunches offered are really good, the one day I allowed her to buy lunch, she would eat a bagel?

Clearly, it was time for me to switch it up and make school lunches a bit more desirable for my little ones!  The first day of her “new and improved lunch box meal was today.”  Although she is still excited to buy lunch from time to time, she LOVED her lunch today! Getting creative with her school lunch was easier than I thought thanks to a few hand selected books!
