Best Diaper Bag

Before my first daughter was born, I searched high and low for the best diaper bag.

Besides expensive designer bags, I could not find any that I loved. Spending a lot of money on a bag was never an issue for me since I used my bags for years. Unfortunately, most diaper bags could not be used for years… they were just that… diaper bags.

I had two options. The first option was to purchase a very expensive diaper bag (because I am a “bag snob”). My second option…buy a bag that was not made to be a diaper bag and make it one. Neither of the options seemed perfect. Instead of letting go of my ”bag snob” attitude, I suffered by acting on both options. I purchased an expensive diaper bag, and then realized it was not the perfect bag… Then, I bought another expensive diaper bag (still not so great). A year later, I converted my Louis Vuitton tote into a diaper bag, in turn, ruining my tote.

This brings me to today… had I seen the Charlie Tote Diaper Bag by Timi And Leslie, I would not have spent as much money on bags I didn’t like, bags that didn’t fit my needs, bags that looked like diaper bags leaving me with no viable reasons to use them post baby/toddler and more… Why I love this bag???

Green Trend: BYOB/Reusable Bags!

Today’s green trend was supposed to be yesterday’s but unfortunately, my mail got in the way Regardless, the green trend of the day may be one of my favorites. I have a passion for bags… all kinds. Anytime I see a cute one, I want to buy it. Off course, I am a huge fan of luxury bags and consider myself a little bit of a collector. Unfortunately, my bank account never thanks me when I am on a binge. I have a pocket-book, tote, clutch for every occasion… and then some more… some for winter, summer, spring, fall, sporting events, shopping, a night out, events with my girls… I could go on forever.

It was a no brainer for me to indulge in reusable bags! I have seen so many people using reusable bags at the grocery store and other venues that I searched high and low for cute ones that I would like to use. What I found was a plethora of different ones all over the web. Cute girly ones. Some made of eco-friendly material. Recycled bags, nylon, whatever you desire! They even come in adorable patterns. I want to share the positives of these bags though… they are not only great for the environment but can save you a ton of money.

Think of the amount of times you have gone to the grocery store, or any store for that matter, and purchased more than you need. If you have a list, take enough bags to fill according to your list, and make a promise to yourself that you will NOT use a grocery store bag, you will not buy more than you need to! Since I am a shopaholic, it is easy for me indulge more than I should and do some compulsive shopping. I have made the promise to my self though and am sticking with it! Second, the totes and sling bags considered reusable are fantastic! I cannot tell you how many times I have gone shopping and ripped one of the store bags. Rarely are they easy to carry either. Now, I can sling a great bag over my shoulder which not only looks cute but is functional, stores mass amounts of items I purchase and helps me avoid additional bags which I will never use again!
