Last Minute Christmas Cards

Shutterfly 50 Free Prints

Last minute Christmas cards… Year after year, I’m late sending Christmas cards.

It’s hard to believe December is already here!  Every time I reach into my mailbox, I get a friendly reminder that I am once again, late sending our Christmas cards.  Rather than wait until the week before Christmas, I decided this year would be different!  That said, December 10th, I had a date with shutterfly!  The past few years, shutterfly has come to my rescue countless times.  From birthday invitations, to thank you notes and of course, Christmas cards, their wide array of card choices and quick delivery (which happened to be free this year) has never failed me.

Yesterday, I uploaded a few photos on the shutterfly website, added them to the card of my choice, played around with the editing tools (I went with Sepia for the look), and voila!!! Check out our 2012 Christmas cards below!  One more thing to check off my list!

Cards – Notecards – Stationary

Finally, a reason to use stationary!

Notes To Teacher… With both daughters back in school, I finally have a reason to buy stationary!  Before email took over the world, I loved opening my mailbox to a sweet handwritten card, note or letter.  Now, I just hope any personal emails don’t go to my junk folder!

Finding some awesome stuff was not hard at all!  I wanted to share two notecards I absolutely fell in love with from…

The Sweetest Things – Dylan’s Candy Bar

Sephora.com, Inc.

The Sweetest Things… ((crickets))

While browsing through Dylan’s Candy Bar on-line, I came a cross a few things that I had to share!!! Beginning with the first, Sweetly Said – Love, Chocolate-filled cards… Never mind that they have these adorable little frogs on them, the comment on the front of the box, I’ll love you until we… uhh, well… you know… “CROAK,” make these a must have for anyone you love!

Ok, now the Barbie & Ken Tee Shirt- Women is a slightly different story… Yes, Barbie & Ken could very well be the most famous couple in history but… when was someone going to tell me that they broke up?!?!?!?!?!

According to the story associated with this shirt, they are now broken up and Ken has been desperately trying to get back together with Barbie…  This t-shirt should be worn to show your support for the two of them during their break up. Again… WHEN WAS SOMEONE GOING TO TELL ME THAT BARBIE AND KEN WERE NO LONGER A COUPLE???  I wonder if my girls are aware of this???

Stationary

Handwritten Notes On Beautiful Stationary…

How I miss the days when I reached into my mailbox and had the pleasure of pulling out a personal letter from a friend. As a child my friends and I would send each other things like stickers, cards, even just a quick note saying hello to one another in the mail.  Picking out the perfect stationary to send to one another was a must.

Back in the day, stationary was an accessory… another way to express yourself, your likes and hobbies.  These days, even birthday invitations and thank you’s are being sent via email.  When I do receive a handwritten card or note in the mail, I get so excited that I rarely make it to the top of my driveway before opening it. Unfortunately, half the time I receive an envelope in the mail with my name and address handwritten on it, the mail is from a company with a brilliant marketing team that knows the world still loves real mail. This marketing scam never fails…

These days, the only time I need stationary is when I need to send notes to my daughter’s teachers.  Instead of writing notes on printer paper, this year, I invested (sounds expensive right?  It’s not…) in Great Thought Bubble Stationary Notecards Which Boast My Last Name!

Wedding Invitations – Romance

Finding the right wedding invitation for your special day is a chore… well, it was for me!

Bucket List For My Perfect Wedding Invitation… The Year 2003

  1. It had to match my wedding flower colors
  2. It had to be classy
  3. I didn’t want anything too jarring
  4. The font needed to be just so…
  5. It needed a raised border
  6. I didn’t want too many frills… and the list just went on…

After four different vendors and searching through album after album filled with invitations that looked just like the one on the previous page… and the same as all the vendors prior… I finally found the “Perfect Invitation.”  It looked almost exactly like all the rest… But, it was “perfect.”

Fast Forward to 2012… The most romantic wedding invite I have seen to date… And AWESOME!
