Cards – Notecards – Stationary

Finally, a reason to use stationary!

Notes To Teacher… With both daughters back in school, I finally have a reason to buy stationary!  Before email took over the world, I loved opening my mailbox to a sweet handwritten card, note or letter.  Now, I just hope any personal emails don’t go to my junk folder!

Finding some awesome stuff was not hard at all!  I wanted to share two notecards I absolutely fell in love with from…

On Writing

On Writing Writing is my passion, my hobby and my therapy… so, when I experience the awfulness known as writer’s block, I have only a few words to describe my emotional state… anger, anxiety and frustration… Leading to Depression… Needless to say, the past three days, I fell into a complete state of “internal depression syndrome.”

Angry and frustrated, rather than write about my writers block, which would have been logical since it would have removed the wall I hit, I just sat… and sat… and sat… staring at a blank word document on my computer screen.  The document was white… with a flashing black cursor… Chinese torture.  I sat for hours.  To ease my pain, every few minutes, I wrote a sentence or two.  Moments later, I deleted the sentence… or two (the second sentence never seemed to reach the point of a period).

On Shopping… Shopping is a passion of mine while in a depressed state.  There was no better time to shop than at the very moment I realized that my sentences were going nowhere and the Chinese torture I was experiencing due to my blinking cursor needed to end.  Well, it was not difficult for me to write my favorite website URLs.  I started with a few children’s clothing stores… then off to look for new and notable books.  Reading has always been therapeutic for me.  Maybe I would find something I could download on my iPad for instant gratification (or as I like to call it, only child syndrome).

Instead of a book to read at leisure, I found some which were even better… Books on writing.  Amazing books on writing!  Books to help me out of my slump, bring back my creativity, make me think and most of all… Books on proper Grammar!  A bit of everything all on one page and all for my viewing pleasure!  I was so excited about my finds that I decided to share them with my readers!

Wedding Invitations – Romance

Finding the right wedding invitation for your special day is a chore… well, it was for me!

Bucket List For My Perfect Wedding Invitation… The Year 2003

  1. It had to match my wedding flower colors
  2. It had to be classy
  3. I didn’t want anything too jarring
  4. The font needed to be just so…
  5. It needed a raised border
  6. I didn’t want too many frills… and the list just went on…

After four different vendors and searching through album after album filled with invitations that looked just like the one on the previous page… and the same as all the vendors prior… I finally found the “Perfect Invitation.”  It looked almost exactly like all the rest… But, it was “perfect.”

Fast Forward to 2012… The most romantic wedding invite I have seen to date… And AWESOME!

Turn Baby Pictures Into Wall Art

Paper Culture

Ever since my daughters were born, I have been an over the top picture-taking momma.  We have one wall in my house which is covered in framed pictures of my girls.  One for every year as they grow.  Finding frames which are affordable and similar in appearance has never been an easy task.  That is, until I stumbled upon Baby Monogram Bamboo Wall Art – Bamboo.

Instead of searching for the perfect frame, which can also be quite expensive, I upload photos of my girls on the paper culture website.  Through Paper Culture, I can order the Bamboo Wall Art with my daughter’s pictures on them.  My wall of frames is now a wall of photos hand mounted  on a 100% bamboo panel. With my order, Paper Culture will plant a tree in honor of my daughters with each order.  The designers at Paper Culture will even monogram the frames or add a name using custom colors which match the colors in your photo.  These are not only great for your own children, they also make for beautiful wedding pictures and more!  They are truly great for yourself and gift giving.

Save 25% off all Bamboo Wall Art! Use voucher code: BAMB25 on the Review Order page before July 2, 2012. Shop Now!
